While we love the sports paintings, it is always nice to be able to step back and do a traditional portrait. Where we try to capture the frozen action of a sports painting, portraits allow us to capture the person. The reasons for having one done are as varied as the subjects themselves. One thing is constant though, the painting does say
something special about the person. Weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, or just to freeze that special moment. These can celebrate a special occasion, a special person, or just animage that you wish to share.

Your imagination is really the limiting factor here. We have painted children, teens, wedding pictures, families, older couples and people just enjoying their hobby whether it is sailing or chess, we can bring it to life. And don't forget about dogs, cats, and horses they can be memorialized as well. Yet another popular portrait subject are homes, historic buildings or natural places. We recently received a commission to do a painting of the Arch in St. Louis.

The rule for a portrait is that there are no rules. Anything that touches you, we can bring to life in oil.
